The Head of the State welcomed the participants and guests of the event, noting the significance of the forum as a platform for professional dialogue and exchange of experience.

In his speech, Badra Gunba said:

Dear Forum participants!

I warmly welcome you to the International Forum of Businesswomen "Abkhazia-2026".

I express my gratitude to all the guests who found the opportunity to come to Abkhazia, to join us in this important dialogue, and exchange experiences and ideas. Your presence is a contribution to the development of cooperation, building trust and the creation of new opportunities for the future.

I would like to express special words of appreciation to the organizers of the forum. Thanks to your initiative and energy, a platform is being created where new and progressive ideas are born. Such forums are of particular importance. They not only bring professionals together but also emphasize the role of women in modern world - in economics, management, and public life.

Women have always held a special place in the Abkhazian society. They have been the keepers of the hearth, a symbol of wisdom, a source of strength and moral values. It was women who raised those who became defenders of the Fatherland. This is reflected in our ancient legends and the Nart Sagas. The image of Satanei Guashia is the embodiment of wisdom and inner strength.

The role of women in the modern history of Abkhazia is immeasurable.  During the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia, many of them, alongside their brothers, defended the freedom of their native land with weapons in their hands. We are deeply indebted to the mothers who raised the Heroes of the Fatherland.  

In the difficult post-war years of the blockade, it was women who largely ensured the viability of the state. When it was impossible for men to cross the border, they took responsibility, overcame hardships, supported their families, and raised their children. A huge burden fell on their shoulders, which they bore with dignity.

And today, the women of Abkhazia play an active and significant role in the development of the country. They successfully realize themselves in politics, government, public life, business, education and culture. Their contribution to the development of our republic cannot be overestimated.

I am sure that relevant and important topics will be raised during the forum, from sustainable development and innovation to supporting entrepreneurship, including rural areas.
