Badra Gunba visited the exhibition "Shalva Inal-Ipa – Man and Scholar"

Today, the President of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, visited an exhibition dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Abkhazian scientist Shalva Denisovich Inal-Ipa.

The excursion for the Head of State was conducted by the scientist's daughter, public figure Arda Inal-Ipa.

The exhibition features Shalva Denisovich's scientific works, monographs, and manuscripts, state awards, rare photographs, personal belongings, diaries, letters, original correspondence, archival records, and other materials reflecting his scientific and public activities.

The President familiarized himself with the presented exhibits, which reveal the scale of the scientist's personality, his contribution to the study of the history, culture, and traditions of the Abkhazian people, as well as the significance of his scientific legacy for the preservation of national identity.

During his visit to the exhibition, Badra Gunba emphasized the special significance of Shalva Inal-Ipa's works for contemporary Abkhaz society and future generations.

When we ask ourselves what the behavior of an Abkhazian should be in the modern world, which traditions we should follow, and what our way of life should be, I think the answer to these questions can be found in the scientific works of Shalva Denisovich Inal-ipa. It is enough to refer to his books, research, and materials to see how deeply and consistently these issues are explored in them.

Shalva Denisovich's scientific legacy is our national treasure, an invaluable heritage of our people. His works and research are of colossal importance for Abkhazia, for the preservation of our history, culture, language, and national identity.

All of this must be preserved and passed on to future generations. The state's task is to re-publish his works, to publish materials that have already been prepared but not yet published, and to make this legacy accessible to our youth. "We must ensure that Shalva Denisovich's scientific research continues to live, serve our people, and help future generations understand their roots, traditions, and spiritual values," the President noted.
