Gunia Astamur Karbeevich was born on October 26, 1976.

In 1993, he graduated from Secondary School No. 1. Gudauta.

From 1993 to 1999 – he studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Kabardino-Balkarian State University, majoring in Medical Medicine.

From 1999 to 2000 – he completed an internship in General Surgery;  at the Sukhum City Clinical Hospital.

From 2000 to 2004 –  he worked as a general surgeon at the Surgical Department of the Sukhum City Clinical Hospital.

From 2004 to 2006 – he completed a residency at the Stavropol Clinical Hospital Medical Academy in Urology.

From 2006 to 2014 – he worked as a urologist in the Urology Department of Sukhum City Clinical Hospital.

From 2014 to 2020 -  he worked as Head of the Urological Department of Sukhum City Clinical Hospital.

From 2020 to 2022 – he served as Acting Chief Physician of Sukhum City Infectious Diseases Hospital.

From 2022 to the present – he served as Chief Physician of Sukhum City Infectious Diseases Hospital.

He holds the honorary title of Honored Doctor of the Republic of Abkhazia and is a recipient of the Order of Akhdz-Apsha, 3rd degree;

He is married and has four children.
